Community Leader Brenda Flank Announces Candidacy for Las Vegas City Council, Ward 4

Las Vegas - Today, community leader Brenda Flank formally announced her candidacy for Las Vegas City Council, Ward 4. Brenda is a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, has been a successful small business owner, educator, and civic leader in the community for the past forty years.

"I know how important it is to have people serving in public office who have both integrity and the experience to lead," said Lorraine Hunt-Bono, former Nevada Lieutenant Governor, Clark County Commissioner, and first Chairwoman of the LVCVA. "Brenda Flank has been a trustworthy leader, not only in Ward 4 but the entire Las Vegas community for over forty years, and has my support for Las Vegas City Council."

"Our needs have been ignored by career politicians looking for their next election. I'm not a politician, and I believe it is an honor to be elected to represent the people in our community. We deserve representatives who will listen to our concerns and can address the problems we face now and in the future," said Flank. "The Las Vegas economy is changing every day, and we are facing unprecedented challenges due to rising crime rates, sudden inflation, high unemployment, and labor shortages. As your Councilwoman, I will focus on health and public safety issues as we continue to recover from the devastating effects of the COVID 19 pandemic and work with the business community on job creation to get people back to work."

"I have known Brenda for more than twenty years. She leads by example and delivers results," said Rick Harrison, longtime Las Vegas businessman and host of the legendary TV series Pawn Stars. "The Las Vegas City Council needs a leader we can depend on who has a steadfast commitment to doing what is right. I trust Brenda Flank, and so can you. You need to vote for her!"

"Brenda is an experienced community advocate who acts with integrity. She is honest, hardworking, and dedicated to her community," said former Clark County Assessor Michele Shafe. "Brenda is a commonsense decision-maker and would be an asset to the Las Vegas City Council."

Brenda Flank serves as the Executive Director of the Alliance for Education and Liberty, a local non-profit organization focused on bringing United States Constitutional studies to 5th-grade classrooms. She is a founding member of a state public charter school, Founders Classical Academy of Las Vegas. Currently, she serves and has served on numerous boards, including the Las Vegas chapter of the NAACP and the Nevada Secretary of State Advisory Committee on Participatory Democracy. Brenda Flank has her BA and MBA from National University, San Diego, CA.
